Patient Reviews
Oct 17, 2024
Dr. David Sackel performed life-changing cataract surgery removal on both of my husband’s eyes these past two weeks. The day before both surgeries, my husband required very strong prescription eyeglasses to see across a room, as he has all his life. Without wearing his glasses, he was legally blind. After merely a few hours following both surgeries, he was able to see better with the operated eye than he saw wearing glasses. This was a stunning result to both of us! Dr. Sackel, during every pre-op & post-op exam, was extremely thorough, conscientious, & answered all our questions with skill & patience. When he found a retinal problem in one eye, he referred my husband to a retinal specialist to determine any retinal surgery that might have been needed before the cataract surgeries. None was needed, & he proceeded with surgery. Dr. Sackel also took my husband’s allergies to certain anesthesias very seriously, using only those that posed no threat. He exceeded our trust in him!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
