Patient Reviews

Dr Krieger is a fine surgeon and a fine person. The surgery went well (although the Aventura nurses were very rude and unprofessional). I had a sciatic nerve operation and am grateful that i can walk and jog again. The sciatica before the operation left me with terrible pain and numbness. After the operation i still have some numbness but limited and i can live with it. For this minor numbness Dr Krieger on a follow-up visit prescribed GABAPENTIN.Here is what i find today on the MailOnline about my medication that prevents weight loss:AnticonvulsantsMedications that reduce the frequency of epileptic seizures and nerve pain also may cause weight gain in some patients. Dr Ngo-Hamilton pointed specifically to gabapentin, which combats seizures by decreasing abnormal signals in the brain, as an example, but other drugs like pregabalin and carbamazepine, prescribed to those with spinal injuries, could cause similar effects.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
