Patient Reviews
Oct 14, 2024
Dr. Powell is deeply present on each visit for my metastatic cancer. He is thorough and makes sure I have time to understand and ask questions. With metastatic cancer one is aware of the need to have highly competent providers that keeps up on research. Because he is both a board certified hematologist as well as oncologist, I am deeply trusting that he is on top of my disease in every way. When he has had to deliver news that was initially concerning, he took his time and let me absorb and understand. I cannot imagine having anyone else handle my case.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
