90 days post op cut for a torn rotator cuff, 3 weeks in from physical therapy start. Doctor Dave is always pleasant and disarming. As a 62 year old male patient, I was most reluctant to go under the knife. My tendency is to postpone and self rehab, via yoga, massage, meditation and supplements. However there comes a time when those fail, spin the wheel. Not a fan of General Anesthesia but then again, why stay awake? In and out same day and my only fright was the nerve agent that numbed my arm lasted several days. Pre and post Op teams, stellar. Pain was significant and decided to forgo all narcotic and other prescriptions. Embrace the Pain, as they say. There is always sacrifice and compromise to achieve the change for the better. University orthopedics is a team that never abandons you. I can’t imagine going anywhere else, ever. There is a tremendous amount of fear when it comes to our own well being and trust is in rare supply. Don’t let that dissuade you from coming here and healing
