Patient Reviews
Jun 17, 2023
Dr. Kuwayama performed a carotid endarterectomy on me at DHMC last November. At my follow-up, it was determined that the procedure was unsuccessful, so he ordered a CT scan to see just went wrong. His decision to ordered that test most likely saved my life as it showed tumors on my right lung. I had lung resection surgery in March and I am now cancer free, no chemo, no radiation. I would like him to know that my eyesight has indeed improved since my procedure with him and I no longer have blurry vision in my right eye! He is an amazing surgeon and an even more amazing human being. Thank you Dr. Kuwayama and may God Bless you always.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
