Dr. Schechter is a rarity, a knowledgeable doctor who really cares about his patients. So many doctors make you feel like you are taking up their time and after 20 minutes you are out the door. With his gentle and clearly caring demeanor, he took his time with me to explain the tests and their results. For a small office, I was impressed at some of the very high tech equipment both for running the tests and for explaining the heart and its workings. It made me feel secure that I was getting cared for my a physician who was cutting edge with his knowledge but 'old school' with a doctor who is a true healer and not just checking a list so that he can get reimbursed by insurance. The office staff was lovely and the technician who did my echo cardiogram was so supportive--it clearly comes from the tone Dr. Schechter sets for the office. Feeling very very lucky to be his patient.
