My appointment today was with the hygienist for a cleaning. She did a very thorough job. I felt comfortable enough with her to discuss my concern about Dr. Yu's  recommendation that I also consult with a periodontist. After my cleaning, Dr. Yu came into the exam room and he also discussed the advantages of a perio consult. Needless to say, I left the office with a better understanding of the need and advantages of a perio consult. I appreciated the time that both the hygienist and Dr. Yu spent with me addressing my concerns.
