The luckiest day of my life was when I became a patient of Dr. Puente. I started going to Dr. Puente in the 1980s. She has been my primary doctor,except for 2 years when Ochsner used her skills in administration. She has a few patients now and I am privileged to be one of them. 1. She had puzzles and magazines in her examining rooms ( I never had enough time to solve one of her puzzles!) 2. SHE LISTENS. She sent me in early for a colonoscopy ( 3 polyps) because of my mother's history.
