I have found Dr. Kumar to be attentive and to the point. He makes me feel like I’m a human talking to another human. He reassures me that certain symptoms are “normal” for my diagnoses and it’s relieving. I was beating myself up for being forgetful and he said “forgetfulness is very common among ADHD and PTSD, it’s ok, don’t beat yourself up, we are on our way to a solution, here’s some things you can try in the meantime. If you forget to try them, it’s ok, they’ll still be there when you remember!” He is quick to respond when I’m having panic attacks, he is still and present when I’m panicking during a session, and he is receptive to my feedback on my medications. He makes adjustments quickly and often reminds me that I only take medication because I consent to it, I can revoke at any time and he will help me taper off if that’s what I want.
