After having an abnormal mammogram, I was referred to Dr. Lorenzo for a breast biopsy. I had previously had a traumatizing experience with the IR assigned to read my mammogram/US results, so I went into my initial appointment with Dr. Lorenzo feeling scared and on the defense. He immediately eased my fears by shaking my hand firmly, making eye contact with me, and answering my very long list of questions. He never made me feel rushed or like my questions were stupid. My biopsy came back positive for cancer and he was the one who had to give me my results. He delivered the news kindly, respectfully, THOROUGHLY, and had a plan in place for me. He was also the surgeon who eventually performed my mastectomy after chemotherapy. He was on time, explained everything well to my support system, and called my mom immediately after surgery to answer her questions. He responds to my inquiries in a timely fashion and always shows me the utmost courtesy. I am lucky to have him as a provider.
