I visited Dr. Dawkins after re-herniating two discs. One of the discs, L5-S1, had already been operated on 2x before (discectomy) and the other disc (L4-L5) had already had one discectomy. All of my surgeries have been in different states with different doctors and different hospitals (yay moving!). She was new to me and my health record was new to her yet she did an amazing job assessing my situation, proposing a solution, and bravely moving forward with another discectomy at both levels instead of a more major surgery. Surgery was successful and every step of the way I felt confidence in her and gratefulness for her care. I can sit, stand and walk without increased pain, weakness or numbness in my left leg due to pressure on my sciatic nerve and for that I am so grateful. She is an awesome spine surgeon and I trust her with any future needs I might have (Lord willing, none of course!). Thanks Dr. Dawkins!
