Patient Reviews
Feb 13, 2020
Dr Lucero treated me in 2008 and saved my life. He is one of the most compassionate people I’ve ever met. I had a MRSA infection in my spine, and had started to develop septic shock. I think the Doctor Who was originally treating me had given up, and then Doctor Lucero showed up and sat next to my bed, held my hand and said “You are very sick, but I’m going to do everything I can to get you better”. After multiple blood transfusions, and about a week in the hospital, I started to improve. Once I did, I asked Dr. Lucero what made him such a warm, compassionate person. He told me that when he was in medical school, he worked in a chemical plant, and suffered a horrific burn. He spent a month in the hospital. After his experience as a patient, he said he was able to put himself in the patients shoes and really care for them on a different level. I owe him my life. ??
