Dr. Middleman is exceptional in a multitude of ways. She has tons of knowledge and experience with medications, and she will work with a patient for as long as it takes to find a regimen that helps. Dr. Middleman is far more warm and human than many psychiatrists; she acts like a real person and treats her patients like real people too. She uses a Gestalt Therapy approach -- a non-pathologizing perspective that helps people heal through respectful exploring, increasing awareness, and experimenting with creative adjustments to deal more comfortably with past and present stresses. I know six people who see Dr. Middleman, and we all think she's terrific.
