Thank Dr. Douglass Starr for my visit when you heard a murmur and it turned out that I had an aortic valve that needed to be replaced. Dr. Starr has been my family doctor for many years. If it was not for him haring this murmur and sending me to get an echocardiogram to check it out it may not have been detected soon enough to save my life. If I did not get this fixed, which ended up requiring open-heart surgery, I was told that I could have died from this malfunctioning valve at any moment. I have always enjoyed Dr. Starr and the way he was taken care of me over the years. He lets me know what I need to do and then it is up to me to listen or not to his recommendations, which has served me well over the many years I have been going to him.
