Had gone in for scaiatica of right hip and leg pain. Dr Timmons read the notes from Dr Folan that Neurosurgeon review denied surgery for L5S1 etc. My heart sank. I was desperate to get help, and in a lot of pain. I'm pretty physically fit for 73 yrs old, so don't appear sick; like a cat. I believe God knew this Dr would respond, and made the right choice to take bloodwork and urine test, besides just retrying the prednisone before being dismissed for the 3rd time at ER that same week. I don't know if what I said to nurse changed his mind, or if he felt it was the least he could do; but lab showed I had appendicitis and needed surgery. But I respected his admission of missing it, and now we connected. He got the CT scan ordered right away to confirm appendix was inflamed and enlarged. Had I gone home, could have burst. The surgery staff were great and I am grateful for their kindness and support. Earlier ER Drs were doing what their protocal allowed but appeared to feel bad.
