Patient Reviews
Feb 18, 2021
Dr. Edith Bowers removed an in situ melanoma from my left forearm today at the Hillsborough clinic. My experience with Dr. Bowers and Nicki, her assistant, was outstanding. ALL aspects of the procedure were explained in detail which made me feel very well informed and at ease. The procedure went extremely well and painless. The professionalism and expertise I received from both these clinicians was far above and beyond the average care in some clinics I've visited in the past. I highly recommend UNC Dermatology for check ups and/or follow up procedures. I would also like to recommend Dr. Patricia Mauro who is our regular family Dermatologist and is most excellent. All in all I am extremely pleased with the entire staff at UNC Dermatology and highly recommend their services.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
