Patient Reviews
Jan 28, 2024
Dr. Borrazzo was the only surgeon in the northeast who could perform my laparoscopic Heller Myotomy and partial Fundoplication. I had been diagnosed with a rare disease called Achalasia, had stopped swallowing solid foods as my LES and other esophageal muscles had failed peristalsis, and after much research was opting for this longer lasting surgical relief. At age 73 in May of 2021, I was active and healthy enough to undergo this procedure. From the moment I met Dr. Borrazzo, I experienced confidence and ease of mind. My care from Dr. Borrazzo and two fine male residents during and post surgery in hospital was excellent. While there are certain foods that will always challenge dysphasia, my overall quality of life and ability to swallow are greatly improved. I feel eternally grateful that Dr. Borrazzo was nearby.
