Dr. Michaelides is honest, kind and thoughtful. He performed a revision stapedectomy on my right ear and was a joy to work with. He was very thorough in determining what was going on inside my ear before he reviewed my options with me. I had a CT scan on state of the art equipment at Rush, which revealed that my prothesis had shifted. He repeatedly told me his goal was to improve my hearing, and if he felt the risk for loss was too high when he was performing the operation he would err on the side of caution and would not proceed. His attitude was very reassuring to me. All went well and he was able to reposition my prothesis and my hearing has improved. I highly recommend Dr. Michaelides and his wonderful staff. My experience was nothing but positive.
