I had a missed abortion and retained products after starting to miscarriage my baby and not finding a heartbeat at the ER. Dr. Carawe gave me options to decide how to proceed. I chose the Ipas. Dr. Carawe allowed my husband to be present during my awake D&C with ipas. Her team was so caring. I was able to play my baby’s playlist and hold my husband’s hand. It is a moment that I will treasure forever, even after such a horrible event of losing my baby. They were very gentle with me and are continuing to help me in my journey. Forever grateful that she allowed me to have pictures of my baby even though there was no longer a heartbeat. She let us see her before, and everything. It was a beautiful moment.
