I've never met Dr Stevens but my 35 yr old sister who recently passed away unexpectedly was her patient. There aren't enough words to describe how much my sister adored her. Every appt my sister would say how invested Dr Stevens was when it came to helping her figure out medically what was happening. She never gave up,EVER. She would brainstorm with other drs to figure out how to help her. She is very smart and dedicated to her profession. Although my sister struggled with substance abuse, Dr Stevens never judged her or made my sister feel ashamed. Instead, she took it as a challenge to help find solutions to diagnose my sister correctly after seeing many Drs. My sister was an unusual case as Dr Stevens worked so hard to figure out thru her symptoms what was wrong. She was eventually diagnosed with scurvy but a rare case. Dr Stevens could have easily dismissed my sisters concerns when things got too tough but no, SHE NEVER GAVE UP. She is the perfect example on how all Drs should be!
