Patient Reviews
Sep 19, 2024
I saw Dr. Szczech because I was having epigastric pain. After thorough testing, it was determined that I didn't have a 'good squeezer', which translated into that my gall bladder wasn't working properly, if at all. Dr. Szczech explained I should have my gall bladder removed or I could wait until I had an extremely bad attack and end up having it removed in an emergency situation. She was so professional, knowledgeable and kind that I just went for it. I had my cholesystectomy in June of 2024. I was a bit nervous, but the entire experience went well and was very pleasant...from check-in, to the nurses, anesthesiologist and of course, Dr. Szczech. I had some understandable discomfort for the first 3 days or so. I took it easy for a few weeks, which was hard because I felt pretty normal after the first 7 days, but no one wants a hernia! It's now mid-September and everything is great so far. I haven't even had to change my diet to accommodate my lack of a gall bladder. Thank You
