I went in to the ER three days ago with lower back pain The MD at the ER discharged me and told me that I had acute appendicitis as they had spotted on the CT a random picture of a distended appendix. However I was not presenting any of usual symptoms, no fever, infection or abdominal pain. To err on the side of caution I decided to find a surgeon just to double check it. Dr. Sta Ana said he preferred if I had it removed straight away so they can biopsy it and check for anything nefarious. If I had not taken his advice It likely would have burst and been a medical emergency. Bedside manner was informative and friendly. I recommend him highly.
