I tore my left supraspinatus tendon playing rugby at Montrose Harbor Chicago many years ago and was in terrible pain with limited abduction and adduction. My wife took me to a hospital, Thorek, if it could be called that, and I encountered this fine doctor who diagnosed my malady in about five minutes. He fitted me with a temporary sling and referred me to an orthopedist in Effingham, IL, near where I was unfortunately working at the time. He had gone to medical school with this physician, who was fantastic. Because I was in extreme pain, I tried making a more expedient appointment with some pompous---- at Rush University Medical Center but could not get scheduled there. I bit the bullet and, within 5 days, my left rotator cuff was surgically repaired and is as good as new. Both Doctors Nussbaum and Timothy Gray, M.D., of Effingham IL, were fantastic.
