Dr. Simpson was called in during my visit to the emergency room. I'm glad he was. He quickly diagnosed the problem as kidney stones, explained a procedure that would fix the problem, and the surgery was scheduled. He wisely ordered a couple of scans that revealed a cancerous tumor on a kidney that would have otherwise been undiagnosed.
