I am a stubborn, active and self sufficient person who ended up in the Methodist West ER with minor chest pain. All available tests came back normal, no causes found. No heart attack was indicated. I was feeling much better, no symptoms and I was ready to go home.Dr. Polich explained the results, shared that the cause of my symptoms was still unknown. I might be fine but he recommended I undergo further testing to try to identify the cause. No pressure, no coercion, no fear or intimidation, just genuine concern and advice.I stayed and after the more thorough monitoring and testing in the hospital one blocked artery was discovered and a stent inserted. A potentially fatal crisis averted. The optimal result of good medicine practiced by a good person in a supportive environment.
