At 3AM last Saturday, I fell in my bedroom resulting in significant laceration of my right ear. Once I could stop the bleeding sufficiently I drove to the ER. After the RN's assessment of injury, Dr. Ladd introduced himself, asked me how the injury happened and he did a thorough examination of my ear and my head to see if there were any associated injuries. His reassurance that he could take care of the laceration with stitches in the midst of the trauma I was experiencing from the full, the injury and having to come to the ER alone made all the difference. He carefully cleaned my ear, explained the necessity of the pain-killing shots and that he would then stitch up my ear. At each step, he explained what he was doing. He successfully stitched up my ear and explained the follow-up care that I should do at home. I am grateful to have received such excellent medical care from Dr. Ladd. Christus-St. Vincent Hospital and our community are fortunate to have Dr. Ladd.
