An ER Dr. contacted Dr. Throop at home one evening to explain my problem and referred me to him for surgery, telling me he was really good, and she wanted me to see him and only him. Advised to call his office the next day and they would work me in to see me that day, which they did. I was so glad to discover that Dr. Throop was very friendly and easy to talk to. He did not rush at all and spent a lot of time making sure I understood what needed to be done and that all of my concerns and any questions were addressed. He explained that he would attempt to do everything laparoscopically but there was a good chance he may not be able to and have to open me up. I was relieved after my surgery to learn he was able to fix everything laparoscopically after all. He ended up removing about 8 inches of colon, patched a hole in my bladder and did a little touch up work on two old hernia repairs. I was so happy with him, that now ironically, wife now needs surgery, it'll be Dr. Throop.
