We learned in March that our baby had extreme complications and we were likely to lose him. Dr Smith was the one to deliver the news and did so with compassion and clarity. He was extremely gentle and forthcoming with information. My husband was not able to be with me at the appointment, so Dr Smith gave me his own phone number so my husband could call with any questions. While we did end up losing our son, Dr Smith and his team were incredibly kind and graceful and continued to follow up with us and check in even after referring us to another provider.
