I came to emergency and was diagnosed with Gallstone associated acute pancreatitis. The recommendation was an ECRP to clear the duct to be followed by removal of the gall bladder. Dr Wamsteker was given my case for the ERCP. He came pre-op to me in the waiting area and after assuring that I was comfortable explained in detail what would happen, the risks and the concern (high or low) of those. I was completely confident of his assessment and his manner of making sure I understood and was ready. Pre-op in the OR he exhibited leadership of the team in a friendly but very professional manner. Post op, he was able to come to my bedside to see if all was good. I thanked him for his professional skill and gift. I was given a paper copy of the history and procedure along with the post-op instructions. Dr. Wamsteker did an excellent technical job and more to the point, having never met before displayed a deep commitment to me as a patient. Thanks to his entire team.
