I came to Martha Jefferson from another hospital. The oncologist at the other hospital did not recognize that the bad reaction I had from Chemo after the first round landed me in the hospital for 15 days was because I have an enzyme deficiency which causes my body not to get rid of Chemo as fast as it should. After my second round of chemo with that oncologist, I ended up at Martha Jefferson. Dr. Struble came to see me there and I switched all my treatment to her. She ran a blood test and lowered my dose of chemo and I did not end up in the hospital again. She worked with me when I had a hard time Staying hydrated by allowing me to come in for hydration often. She and her team are amazing! And she is the reason I am still alive!
