I strongly commend Dr. Brockway for being an excellent anesthesiologist. I recently had surgery and she interviewed me in preparation. She listened very carefully and was empathetic and compassionate. At surgery time she stepped in personally and made sure that everything went according to what we had discussed. This was very important to me because I had a traumatizing experience as a young boy where a friend died from malignant hyperthermia. From that point on I had avoided surgeries to the highest possible degree. Also, five years ago I had had a very similar surgery where I was not given any other choice but general anesthesia. It took about a month after that one for my intestines to work well again. I was miserable! Dr. Brockway went above and beyond the call of duty in making sure I didn't have that same experience this time. She is very professional and intelligent, both intellectually and emotionally, and caring. She has my highest possible recommendation! Joe Malone PhD
