On the 4th of July holiday a few years ago, other Urologists in town were too preoccupied to come to the hospital to see me. They were having a tiff with the hospitals about being on call. Multiple kidney stones were excruciatingly painful for me but none of the other doctors responded to the ER or to the room that I was admitted to for three days earlier. Dr. Sussman did respond once he had been briefed regarding my condition. He responded despite me not being one of his patients. He came to see me at the hospital late on a Friday night and performed a procedure in the OR the next morning. I’m so thankful that when we finally got to “S” in the directory of physicians there he was. His treatment was excellent. He’s #1 in my family’s book. None of the other Urologists we called could be bothered. Shame on them!
