After several doctors failed me and my child with misdiagnosis, Dr. Arroyo saved us. It took me years to figure out exactly what happened… mostly because I was so close to death. I had a rare syndrome that was misdiagnosed by doctors that judged me based on my address. The extreme pain I felt through the entire pregnancy was due to HELLP Syndrome. The doctors assumed I was drug seeking. When I was in the emergency room, they refused to even see me… if they had, they would have learned that I would have refused painkillers. I wanted to know what was wrong with me. To fix the problem and stop the pain. If Dr. Arroyo had not figured out what was wrong with us and skillfully performed a c-section when he did… I would have gone into full labor. Because of the HELLP Syndrome, my blood would not clot and I would have bled out during labor. In three weeks, my healthy son will be seventeen. I am here to see his birthday. These things are both because of this doctor.
