Dr. Shihadeh is wonderful and Fairbanks is lucky to have him. He does have kind of a dry personality/sense of humor that makes some people think he does not have compassion, however that's definitely not the case. It's clear he cares very much about me and my treatment. He listens, is patient with my questions and concerns, and has reminded me repeatedly that he is there to help and provide information/recommendations, but that ultimately this is all my choice. I feel like I am in very good hands and am receiving care that's on par with the care a loved one received at the Mayo Clinic for the same type of cancer.
