Patient Reviews
Jan 25, 2024
My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer in May of 2021. Dr. A recommended he enroll in the Signatera study and we believe he has saved him from having unnecessary surgery. Following his chemo and radiation, there was no cancer cells in the biopsy 6 weeks later and his Natera blood test was 0 (no cancer detected). Dr. A gave him the option of not having surgery -- and he is a surgeon!! He is currently 2 years out after strict follow up with Dr. A every 3 months for a sigmoidoscopy as well as MRI and Signatera blood test. He will now go every 6 months. We are so thankful he agreed with the more conservative approach! Of note: We had to get another opinion due to insurance changes and we were told by another surgeon he would have surgery (because that is the Gold Standard); therefore, removing his colon, rectum and anus and have a permanent colostomy. Needless to say we we ended up back with Dr. A!!!

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
