I have been working with Dr. P for almost three years, and I can say without hesitation that his approach has changed my life in ways I could not fully articulate until recently. What sets him apart is his rare ability to stay present in the most emotionally intense and uncertain moments—not with panic or distance, but with quiet courage and grounding. He does not try to fix everything, nor does he retreat when the conversation becomes difficult. Instead, he sits with you, right on the edge, and helps you find your way back with dignity and care. For a long time, I struggled with the idea of “sitting with uncomfortable feelings.” It is something you hear often in therapy circles, but I could never grasp what it actually meant—until I experienced it with Dr. P. He models what that looks like: staying with pain or uncertainty, not to control it, but to be present with it. Watching him do this—feeling him do this—helped me start doing it for myself. Even more powerful is the trust he shows me by going to those hard places. His confidence in my strength, especially when I doubted it myself, made all the difference. I have come to trust my own resilience through the trust he offered me. Dr. P’s presence is steady, humane, and quietly brave.
