I was treated by Dr. Okoye for over 7 years and she was exceptional. She explained things thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and was always on top of my care by following up on lab work, reading my chart for each visit and taking thorough notes that she would use each visit. She expressed interest in the parts of my life that would make my illness worse if not managed, and coordinated with other doctors on my behalf when I had two major health events hours away. When I was hesitant about taking new routes of treatment to manage my disease she detailed my options. She adjusted my medicines promptly as needed. I would’ve seen her for more years had she not moved. Some reviews below complain about demeanor. Dr. Okoye has a dry sense of humor. She’s one for witty banter and telling it like it is vs. being meek and overly diplomatic. She’s fun and high energy. That may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but her and I built a great treatment relationship over the years.
