I recently suffered from complications including sporadic atrial fibrillation after a procedure called a PFO closure. I am a retired RN, I own a stethoscope, and I know what sinus rhythm sounds like. I had a constant headache, was in and out of AFib, tachycardic, SOB, dizzy, and near faint after the procedure and it kept getting worse instead of better. But no one would take me seriously. Finally, after an office visit, multiple phone calls, and FOUR ER visits at two different hospitals, Dr Cortez said to me, I’m sorry you had to go through this. We have captured it this time (the Atrial fibrillation) and we got you”. I could have kissed him!
