I travelled way up north to see him after being dismissed by another rheumatologist. He was straight to the point but listened to my symptoms and family history, was patient and really seemed to care. He sent me for bloodwork, and although my results didn't show signs of a flare, he respected my concerns and we worked out a treatment plan. He was kind, genuine, and patient, and I think he is well worth the 2 hour drive that I make to see him. He asked and answered questions, made me feel comfortable, and really seemed to care. It seems harder to find doctors who take women's concerns seriously these days, and it was relieving to see a male doctor who didn't tell me my problems were just anxiety.
