Both my surgeon at Vanderbilt and my periodontist recommended Dr. Clayton as the best one to fit me with both a temporary and permanent obturator, after my partial maxillectomy due to a cancer diagnosis. This prothesis, an obturator, is necessary for me to be able to speak and eat properly. I will be wearing it for the rest of my life. Dr. Clayton fitted me with the temporary prosthesis before surgery, and he got it to the surgeon so that it could be in place when I woke up after the surgery. What a relief it was to find out that my voice was exactly the same. Dr. Clayton worked tirelessly over the next few months and fitted me with the permanent piece when he felt I was ready. I was a little unhappy with the fact that my new false teeth showed when my lips were relaxed, but when I arrived for the last appointment, I was thrilled to see that this had been corrected. Dr. Clayton said "I looked at those photos I took; I studied them, and I listened." What more could one expect?
