Patient Reviews
Mar 26, 2024
I arrived at Brigham Boston in full A-fib, in such chestpain as I could not have imagined. I had a blood staph & they epically kept me alive until I was cleared for my quad & carotid by-passes 11 days later. I had a leg clot found after my 'balloon' and my leg was opened for relief, then an exploratory for possible bowel damage -- all surgeries within 5 days.Dr Tolis was the lead surgeon and I felt and know that he took special interest in my care. A warm & sure-handed man, he gave me encouragement & I knew his team was watching me closely. In short, this is one 5-star doctor in every sense. I have to thank ALL the doctors, nurses, aides and everyone I came into contact with. I know I was on the precipice at every juncture, & I know they saved my life again & again. I can only hope that my new lease & promises I've made can give justices to they who saved me. As they say, faces and names may fade, but the acts of professionalism and compassion will always be cherished. And I will.
