I saw Dr.Gretchen Sharr for the first time in the very busy ER of Sentara Leigh Hospital on 07/17/2020 and I was very impressed with her. By BP was VERY elevated due to an infection I was unaware of. I was taken to a room after a very short wait & Dr.Sharr quickly assessed me, took my history, wrote orders & got my treatments started. As a nurse myself, I found her to be very professional, friendly and willing to listen to my concerns(I was very anxious) & what I had to say. Much to my surprise, within 2hrs., Dr.Sharr had my diagnosis, treated me & monitored my response until I was stable enough to be discharged home with prescriptions & instructions, feeling much better. (From the looks of the waiting room when I entered the ER,I thought I would be there ALL night). Thank you Dr.Sharr. Shirley Starke
