Dr. Bucholtz is an extremely knowledgeable and thorough endocrinologist. He sees my father for his diabetes. I am not always able to make the visits with him, but I can see his notes on MyChart. I am a retired doctor myself (medically retired due to lupus). I was extremely impressed by how thorough his notes have been. Senior staff doctors just don't take the time to make detailed anymore lately, but I have a feeling Dr. Bucholtz is old-school. The one time I went with my dad, the wait was a bit long, but that's only because he does not just rush through his visits like other doctors. He asks tons of relevant questions to get a complete picture of the patient. Just reading his notes, you can see the amount of care he puts into every patient. As a fellow medical professional, I got an instant picture of how my dad's disease process was progressing. My parents are not medical and can't explain what's going on, but his notes alone told the full story. Very grateful for his help.
