Dr. Mayer has been my doctor for almost 5 years now (when I moved here) and I have never had a bad encounter. I am quite the enigma as I have gastro issues that are complicated with cardiovascular issues. He has been very knowledgeable about my care with all of the complications of multi system issues. Literally he has rescued me from death on more than one occasion. He treats me with respect and considers what I say about what is going on with my body. When my blood work showed things that were out of his scope of practice, he has referred me to great doctors that have now become part of my team of physicians. I trust him explicitly with my care. There have been times when another doctor thinks that I needed scopes, he didn’t feel that they were necessary, even though he could have done them and made more money off of them, but he didn’t. If I am in the hospital, it is he that sees me and follows my case. His recall of my medical history is something to marvel over.
