Because of the complexity of my health issues (prostate cancer, radiation cystitis and proctitis, pelvic bone infections, nerve damage in both legs and pelvis, abscesses in abdomen with draining fistulas, chronic pain all related to Agent Orange exposure plus triple bypass surgery) I was assigned to the VA Geriatric Clinic with Dr Ahner as my PCP. Her attention to detail, empathy, knowledge and persistence in arranging for treatments plus a sly sense of humor surely saved my life. Best doc ever.
