I have a serious esophagus issue, and I am thrilled that my Doctor is Dr. Honga Vu-James. I know exactly how to deal with this (Barrett's esophagus) because she has been really attentive. I like that she talks to me right before the endoscopy and colonoscopy, and then just after. I think in these days of many many medical issues and the lack of doctors, it is fine to have the nurse practitioner talk to me in more depth. The medical profession is changing. Things are different. About two weeks after my procedure, I made an appointment to see her and to talk about my diagnosis. She was eager to help me see if I could reverse the diagnosis with my diet. So instead of waiting three years, I waited only three months for the second test. She is not the warm and fuzzy type, but I do not care about that. I consider her an outstanding gastroenterologist--knowledgeable, caring, and interested in me. I highly recommend Dr. Vu-James to you.
