Dr. Weiss had been my regular ophthalmologist when I worked in DC. After I moved to a smaller town, and my eyes developed cataracts, I returned to Dr. Weiss' care, even though this meant 2.5 hr drives each way. Dr. Weiss' care and attention to detail inspire that kind of confidence. The discussion of the advantages, possible disadvantages, and rare but non-zero hazards of cataract surgery was clear and extensive. Dr. Weiss wanted to make sure I had a clear idea of the possible outcomes before making a decision, and that I would not have unrealistic expectations. Once we decided on a plan of action, the preparation for the two surgeries was meticulous. The support staff was efficient and caring. Dr. Weiss continued to inform me at each step what to expect, and the outcomes for my vision have been way beyond my expectations; I am extremely pleased with the quality and acuity of my post-surgical vision. I could not be more pleased with the overall outcomes.
