Patient Reviews
Jan 12, 2024
Dr. Rooks did a good job on my procedure, the kind that involves a 24 hr prep. His staff was helpful and courteous. However, I had to wait almost a full hour for the doctor to arrive so we could start procedure. Suffering from anxiety issues as I do, and already being hooked to IV drip, BP cuffed, and gurney arms raised, I just about left the room! I had mentioned this issue to Dr at original consult who said to tell the anesthesiologist about my concerns. I did that as well during several phone calls with anesthesia dr. to no avail. But I don’t hold that against Rooks. As for actual procedure, this one could not have gone better. I am impressed with Dr. Rooks skills as a surgeon. If not for the tardiness, which I understand was out of his control) and failure to communicate to anesthesia dr about my anxiety issue, I would have given 5 stars. But the longer wait only exacerbated my issue, and having a comorbidity that requires a controlled BP, that was not a great outcome.
