Listens, ask questions, explains what he is thinking, outlines the options, translates medical terms, and explains why he recommends a line of treatment and care. When there are multiple possible diagnoses he starts with the least invasive. If there is a question about what may be happening, he orders reasonable tests and referrals. Sometimes I have an additional question and he takes the time to answer that. When test results come back he sends an explanation promptly. I trust him and his judgement.
