Please allow me to share my experience. My Father had severe abdominal pain and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. It was determined that he had an abdominal aortic aneurysm, and it was actively leaking. He was told that surgery would be 100% mortality rate on the operating table. He and our family were told that he would have 1 to 3 days to live. Of course, this information was terrible news and we felt helpless. Dr. Sen, a cardiac and vascular Surgeon agreed that a procedure was high risk but thought that she could make a repair. With nothing to lose, my father agreed. He was transported to Mayo in Eau Claire and was immediately taken to the Operating Room where Dr. Sen and the cast of staff awaited. Approx 4.5 hours later, she spoke with us and gave the good news of a successful surgery. Without Dr. Sen, my father would have passed. Her attention to detail, compassion and care is exactly what we all hope for. If needed, this is the Dr. you want in your corner!
